Senses to Have Sense
"But solid food is for the mature—for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil"
God created humans to have a three element composition for use in life: heart, soul and mind (Matt 22:37). Men and women are the top of the created order in their spender and glory. All of creation was in the hand of the master artist God.
It's amazing to me to see and hear people who assume that animals and humans just evolved. If the existence of humans was just a coincidence, then why do humans have creative design? Why do animals and humans have the potential ability to see, hear, feel pain, and make sounds? Why do humans, unlike any other of creation, have to ability to go beyond instinct and use their minds for logic and reason. I suggest that lies in the master creator God.
Why are there among us those who rise to excellence in areas such as music? Did Mozart just climb out of the swamp of evolution, wash himself off and start writing great musical pieces like "Andante." It was God and not the swamp that gave humans the ability to rise above all other creations and reflect the beauty of the divine.
Just look at humanity and its splendor. God has given people through senses the ability to understand, create, love and reach out to others with compassion. You might ask, "Ok, then why do some humans not have the use of all senses?" Well, we live in an imperfect world because of sin. But remember the blind have still created through music. The deaf have written great masterpieces of symphonies. I just saw in another country where a man without arms was making toys with his feet.
People can succumb to evil or elevate their life by walking with God. God gives us free will to choose. And, God gives us senses to make our choices in life. God has given each of us "senses to make sense" of our very existence.
Seek God with your heart, mind, and soul and you will find your life filled with a sense of purpose. The discovery of our purpose brings peace and direction in our life. When we walk with the creator, we put all of our senses in the active phase of our fulfillment.
