Filling the Void

"Recognize Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. Accept Him today and make Him the Lord your life. The void will be filled, and you will be whole" (Evangelist Brian Fossett).

People are always seeking "stuff" to fill the void in their lives. We must begin by asking ourselves the question "What is really needed in my life for peace, purpose, and fulfillment? We probably need to look at the proper definition of success. If success was simply; wealth, power, sex and drugs we would not witness the imaginary of so many unhappy lives, suicides, crime, divorces and personal destruction.

If worldly success would fill our need for peace, fulfillment, and happiness then why are there so many unhappy people. People try and fill their lives with peace without the source of peace. You ask, "What is that source of peace?" "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:7). Humanity was created by God and for fellowship with God. God never made human beings to make it on their own. God desires to fellowship with us; making it a "we journey not a me trip."

A human being will not find peace and fulfillment apart from a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ. I believe it would be true to say that so many today are facing many challenges, including emotional and psychological scarring, because of the spiritual void in their life. A spiritual void will have a byproduct of mental and physical challenges also. We are never complete disobeying God's plan and purpose.

When people choose to reject the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, in their lives; they are being the captain of their own ship steering into the storms of life. So what are the steps to have our internal void filled?

1. Realize that apart from God we can't be fulfilled.

2. Repent and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and

Lord.

3. Rejoice in obedience to God's Word.

When we invite Jesus into our lives through faith, we are inviting God. There is no peace without the prince. The prince is Jesus and He is willing to accept us into His fellowship. God does not desire for anyone to be void and empty. But,

there's only one source for that peace in our lives. Jesus of Nazareth who died was buried and rose again.

Please God fill humanity with your peace.
